Fire Damage - Safety:

Safety is of upmost importance, follow the below guidelines carefully.

In the event of a fire damage disaster, the first goal is that of the safety of humans and animals.

1. In a life-threatening situation or if the structure is still on fire, immediately call 911.
2. Make a head count of all animals and humans and ensure everyones safety.
3. Wait for the fire department to give the all clear to enter the property.
4. If the structure is not safe, do not enter, make immediate plans for shelter.
5. Shut off the main circuit breaker. (Do not go near the breaker if it requires you to stand in water)
6. Shut off natural gas supply lines. (Usually near the main gas meter)
7. Turn off the main water supply. (Typically in crawlspace or on water meter outside you property)
