Where Mucor Mold Grows:
Mucor can grow on many surfaces including soil, plants, rotten vegetable matter and rotten fruits. It is a quickly growing fungus and grows rapidly in temperatures from 77 to 86 Fahrenheit. Mucor is typically found on and in:

- Plants
- Vegetable Matter
- Rotten Fruit
What Mucor Mold Looks Like:
Mucor is a fluffy mold that resembles cotton candy. It typically grows to a height of .5" to 2". The color of mucor is initially white and slowly develops a brown or grey color over time.
Mucor Mold Health Risks:
Mucor is typically a non-hazardous species, however there are a few species of Mucor that do produce toxins. Toxic Mucor mold can cause Zygomycosis, a group of infections that include nasal infections, arthritis, kidney infections, gastritis and pulmonary infections.
