Water Damage // Filing An Insurance Claim

Steps To File A Water Damage Insurance Claim

After you have contacted DriRite of Tampa and any other appropriate agencies, the next step is to contact your insurance provider. Regardless of if you have coverage, it is always a good idea to file a claim, the worst that can happen is that it can be denied, while in the best case scenario, they'll cover 100% of all your damages including any lost personal items.

Also, In the case of a natural disaster such as a flood or hurricane, other federal agencies such as FEMA and the Small Business Administration may require a denial letter from your insurance company.

Below is a list of links to homeowners and renters claim forms:

Once DriRite of Tampa arrives on scene, we will assess the damage, and help work with your insurance company to take the burden of costs from water damage off you. If it is found you are not covered, we will notify you before beginning any work and provide a detailed estimate free of charge.

A lot of times we don't know if the insurance company will cover the claim or deny it until well after the damage is cleaned up. However, the homeowner has a responsibility to mitigate the damage or the insurance company could deny their claim if too much time has passed. We do offer free in home estimates with a thermal scan of their entire home so all parties can see the affected areas.
