Secure your property and leave if necessary

Safety is of upmost importance, follow these guidelines step-by-step.

The first step to successfully cleaning up water damage is to secure the safety of occupants.

  1. If you are in a life threatening situation, immediately call 911.
  2. If there is standing water, leave the room for dry ground.
  3. Ensure the building is safe, don't go into rooms where water has been sitting.
  4. If the entire building is affected, make immediate plans for shelter.
  5. If the area is dry, turn off the main circuit breaker. (Don't if it is surrounded by water)
